What both models do the same
- Pull the pin and a siren rated at 130 dB starts, with a flashing light. Push the pin back in to stop it.
- A separate button turns on a small LED light without the siren.
- A built-in battery charges by USB-C and is rated for up to 90 minutes of alarm use.
- A gold-tone carabiner clips it to keys, a handbag strap or a backpack.
- The alarm works anywhere, with no phone, no Bluetooth and no app.
- In the box: the alarm, the carabiner, a USB-C cable and a user manual.
That fifth point matters for Ziva+ too. Even if your phone is flat, switched off or left at home, pulling the pin still sounds the alarm.

The 5-second sequence
- You pull the pin.
- The alarm and light start straight away.
- About 5 seconds later, Ziva+ sends a Bluetooth signal to your paired phone.
- Your phone carries out the emergency actions you set up.
With the Ziva Safe app (recommended)
Ziva+ is designed to work with the Ziva Safe app for iPhone and Android, which will be ready by the time your Ziva+ arrives. In the app you add your emergency contacts and choose what your phone does when Ziva+ signals it: call emergency services, send your location by SMS to your contacts, or both. Without the app: your phone's built-in Emergency SOS
Ziva+ can also start your phone's built-in Emergency SOS instead. iPhones and Android phones running Android 12 or later have one, and Apple and Google explain how to set it up.
What built-in SOS does depends on your phone. It may call an emergency number and alert your contacts, but it may not send them your location this way, especially on iPhone. That is why we recommend the app where you can use it.
What Ziva+ does not do
Ziva+ does not call, text or track anyone by itself. It has no SIM card and no GPS. It signals your phone, and your phone does the rest, so results depend on your phone's settings, battery, Bluetooth and network.
There is no Ziva Safe subscription for Ziva+. Your normal mobile charges for calls, SMS or data may apply when your phone acts.
Which one fits your routine? The 3-question check
- Will you set up the Ziva Safe app or your phone's SOS, and keep Bluetooth on? If not, choose Ziva.
- Is your phone usually with you, charged, with an active SIM? If not, choose Ziva.
- Do you want someone alerted automatically, not just noise and light? If yes, choose Ziva+.
Three yeses point to Ziva+. Any "no" points to Ziva, which gives you the same alarm without the setup.
For a university student
Ziva is the easy start: simple, three colours, and it works anywhere on campus. Choose Ziva+ if you already keep Bluetooth on and are happy to spend a few minutes on setup.
For a daily commuter
If your phone is always with you, charged and connected, Ziva+ lets you start its SOS from your keys while you are in a rickshaw, a ride-hailing car or an office van.
For parents choosing a gift
Ziva is the simpler gift, with nothing to set up. If you choose Ziva+, set it up together on the day it arrives, add yourself as an emergency contact, and run a quick check.
For older phones, or phones that are often off
Choose Ziva. Its alarm does not depend on a phone at all.
Will Ziva+ work with my phone?
Ziva+ pairs with iPhone and Android phones that have Bluetooth. How well the SOS features work depends on your phone's model, software and settings. We are testing Ziva+ on the phones most used in Pakistan and will publish the results on this page.

As of October 2026, Ziva costs Rs 3,499 and Ziva+ costs Rs 4,999. Both come with:

Frequently asked questions
Can I upgrade from Ziva to Ziva+ later?
No. Ziva has no Bluetooth, so it cannot be turned into Ziva+. If you think you will want your phone to call or text for help, start with Ziva+.
Does Ziva+ work without the app?
Yes. The alarm always sounds when you pull the pin, and Ziva+ can also start your phone's built-in Emergency SOS. We recommend the Ziva Safe app, which adds choices such as texting your location to your contacts.
Does Ziva+ call or text anyone by itself?
